The brand new MTE FBF-M 8000, which was installed only recently, replaces an existing machine. More powerful, this new milling machine features a 1500 mm W axis and has a fixed table (5000x2500) and a 360° rotary table (2500x2000). With a vertical stroke of 3000 mm (3500 mm optional) and a tool magazine for 60 positions, KARL HUGO operates a more ergonomic machine while producing pieces in larger sizes. Lastly, the milling head is equipped with a central coolant supply which, in addition to lengthening the service life of tools, ensures better cooling performance and therefore enhances dimensional stability.

Compliant with current EC standards for machine tools guidelines, it offers the opportunity to work in a pendulum system. There are many advantages to this system: optimisation of machine safety area, higher productivity and work in “masked time” mode. KARL HUGO will therefore be able to offer greater flexibility in the machining of large pieces and cope with ever changing demand.

Thanks to the quality of our machinery, we have created a niche market for the production of large pieces,” concludes CEO - Technical Director, Stephan Hugo.
